About the College of Social Sciences and Law

UCD College of Social Sciences and Law deliver internationally recognised, academically rigorous undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in key social science disciplines, law, and philosophy. The College delivers graduate degrees in subjects such as law, politics, international relations, international development, nationalism and ethnic conflict, psychology, economics, and information systems. Courses also include professional qualifications for a career as a solicitor, barrister, social worker, secondary school teacher or clinical psychologist. Numerous innovative interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary degrees are available in the College on topics such as public policy, equality studies, human rights, geopolitics, global migration, cognitive science, European affairs and European law. The College employs progressive methods of teaching and learning in a collaborative and supportive environment. Selected masters degrees offer students the opportunity to liaise directly with partner organisations though project work, or undertake professional internships in Ireland or internationally.

The College attracts students from all over the world including the US, Canada, India, China and throughout the EU. Our multicultural faculty includes academics from India, Hong Kong, the US and many European countries including the UK, France, Germany, Netherlands and Italy. Numerous academics in the College have received prestigious awards and accolades and the College has received funding and research grants from the Irish Research Council (IRC), the Royal Irish Academy (RIA), the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and the EU’s Research Framework Programmes.

(009814) Lecturer / Assistant Professor in Psychology, UCD School of Psychology
(Permanent, Subsequent temporary vacancies arising within 6 months of interviews may also be offered)

Lecturer/Assistant Professor above the bar Salary Scale: €51,807 - €79,194 per annum

Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines.

(Permanent, Multiple positions)

Lecturer/Assistant Professor (above the bar) Salary Scale: €51,807- €79,194 per annum

Associate Professor Salary Scale: €66,155- €91,265 per annum

Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines.

Lecturer/Assistant Professor above the bar Salary Scale: €51,807 - €79,194 per annum

Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines
