I am a CAO student and would like to study Politics at UCD. What’s the entry requirement?
The undergraduate degree module in Politics can be taken as part of a BA or a B SocSc, as a major with a minor subject, as a joint major with another subject, or as a minor. It usually takes three years. Politics is also available as part of the BCL (Law with Politics DN622). Please see below for the entry requirement for each course.

Criteria For Entitlement to Free Tuition
The Irish Exchequer will pay tuition fees to the University on behalf of students registered for full-time undergraduate degree programmes (of minimum two years' duration) who meet ALL the criteria as follows:-
- EU*, EEA* and Swiss nationals with no previous third level attendance
- who have been "ordinarily resident" in the EU/EEA, including Switzerland, for three of the five years prior to entry to university.
- ("ordinarily resident" means being resident for a minimum of 183 days in any one calendar year for a minimum of 3 years)
