One of the newest sports clubs at UCD, Sepak Takraw has its roots in Southeast Asia
UCD Sepak Takraw is one of our newest sports clubs. It has its roots in Southeast Asia and could be described as a cross between soccer and volleyball. Teams are comprised of three players, who, using a rattan ball, are required to transfer the ball over a net. The ball can only be touched with your feet, head, chest or knee. Sepak Takraw is a game that requires teamwork and precision. Although popular with international students, all are welcome to take part in the clubs weekly training session on Tuesdays between 5-7p.m. with no experience necessary.
