UCD’s recently upgraded climbing wall is located in the campus’ Sports Centre and is a popular amenity that attracts large numbers daily.

We offer various membership types to suit the complete beginner to the most proficient climber. School and club groups are also avail of our climbing wall (€45 per hour plus instructor fee) a capacity of ten people must be accompanied by one instructor and one supervisor.

The UCD Mountaineering club may use the wall free of charge during their allocated club times. All other times a cost of €3.50 is required along with a valid UCD Mountaineering card (distributed from the Sport Centre).

We provide regular beginner courses for adults and children. These courses provide one with the basics of climbing in a fun and safe environment. Upon completion of these courses there is scope for children to join our winders/gecko club that meets during set times in the week at the wall. Adults can also avail of membership to our wall after completion of the beginner’s course.
