The coin toss was held last night in Belfield for the Annual Colours Boat Races, which will take place this Saturday the 18th of March on the River Liffey. Colours is an annual series of head-to-head races between University College Dublin (UCD) and Trinity College Dublin (TCD) on the River Liffey. All races will see the UCD and TCD crews start their races at O'Connell Bridge and finish at James’s Gate Brewery. UCD enter this year as holders of the Gannon Cup for Senior Men, Corcoran Cup for Senior Women and Sally Moorhead Trophy for Novice Women. While Trinity hold the Dan Quinn Shield for Novice Men.
The first race will take place at 13.30 for the novice women, 14.00 for the novice men, 14.30 for the senior women and finally 15.00 for the senior men. Free open top buses will be at the finish line for supporters to watch the excitement. All support welcome.
