Belfast Star was looking to build on their surprise win at home to Ulster Elks as they host UCD/Marian yesterday in Queens University Belfast. However the students were determined to recover from the disappointing loss at the hands on DCU Saints on Thursday. The students were particularly wary of Star's Grenada-born addition Philip Perre, who contributed 37 points in Star's first outing against the surprise win last week against Jordanstown.  Despite strong performances from Luke McCrone, nor Meany and Neil Baynes, the students could not get the edge and the home team finished out eventual winners with another close margin of 75-72.
