Louise Moriarty: Ras na MBan 2009

Former UCD student and Sports Scholarship recipient, Louise Moriarty recently rode her last race of this years season in fine style.
The Ras na Mban rode race which was an International 3-day stage race took place the 11th-13th September in the mountains of Kerry.
Louise had been selected for the Irish team based on previous excellent performances but due to illness prior to the competition she was unsure of how her performance would be.
However Louise came out with impressive placings against a field of talented and competitive riders.

Louise finished up with stage placings of 2nd, 4th and 7th and finished 7th overall.  This was also first place rider of Irish nationality. To add to that she finished 3rd in the points competition.
