UCD graduate and former Sports Scholarship student, Louise Moriarty claimed first place in the Collins-Christie Memorial road race in Kilmessan, Co. Cavan. 
The 80Km race which took place on Sunday 23rd August was a very fast race and included the A grade riders who all started together.

Torrential rain for the last 20km made the road race difficult and challenging but somewhat interesting!

Louise managed to get a convincing got break with 15km to 
go. With 7km left the competitive group had increased in size, but no other girls made the split. 
Louise has had numerous positive results over the summer however marginally missing out on top spot in many on them.
