UCD Marian made the uncertain trip to Galway on Saturday evening in torrential weather conditions to attempt a three in a row victory. Moycullen themselves were searching for their first win of the season and support was evident, despite the weather, as a packed gym at NUIG cheered on the home team.
Moycullen’s search for a win however, finally came to an end in a devastating end to the game when Scholarship student, Daniel James hit a huge shot to put the
Dublin
boys ahead by one. But with just seconds to go, after some excellent work from Nathaniel Joseph Fritsch, 18year old Dylan Cunningham struck a three pointer to give Moycullen a 82-80 win.
Marian now sit second from bottom in the Northern Conference. There next match is a National Cup fixture in UUJ on the 5th December against Ulster Elks who are struggling to secure their first win of the season.
