The Duisburg International Regatta last weekend in Germany showed the talents of a number of UCD and Irelands finest athletes.

Claire Lambe competed in the competition last weekend in the Irish Squad and represented extremely well.

She raced the lightweight double (U23) with Sarah Dolan from Trinity. They had a very good race in their heat (coming in 2nd place) and they came in 6th in the final. Claire also raced in the lightweight single scull at Senior level which at such a level and against the fiercest of competition was a great experience for her, and she came in 7th place. She was in competing against national crews from all over Europe and beat some of the top British Lightweights in her races. UCDs Anthony English also raced in a lightweight pair.

Claire has now been selected to race in the first World Cup Regatta in Bled, Slovenia at the end of the month.
