Stephen Walsh (Baltinglass) was crowned Ulster Youths Amateur Open Champion 2010 in Kirkistown Castle Cloughey, County Down.

After scoring a fantastic 70 in the closing round and equally impressive scores of 71, 69, 67 respectively on the previously days, Stephen finished for a closing total of 277.

The 2010 Championship teed off at 9.30am on day one with heavy rain but day two saw the course bathed in sunshine with little or no wind making scoring conditions ideal the following days.

Runner up was Noel Murray (Dunmurry) who shot a 74 in the final round to finish on 279. Noel led by 5 shots going into day three but Stephen came back to claim the title.
