UCD and northern rivals, Harlequins provided an entertaining display on saturday in the UCD Bowl to earn UCD a 47-24 win.

UCD refused to let Old Wesley overpower them last Friday under the Donnybrook floodlights and deservedly notched up two late tries to give them three wins out of three and third place in the table. In Saturdays match in UCD Bowl, the students faced Northern rivals, Belfast Harlequins who are only three points behind UCD in the standings, courtesy of two wins, a try-scoring bonus point and a losing bonus point.

It was a challenging game for both sides that are seen to be quite evenly matched.

Before the match it was suggested that if 'Quins can get the upper hand early on they could take the points. But only if they get their attack going as they have failed to score a try in their last two league games.

However despite ten tries in all throughout the game, UCD collected a try scoring bonus point win in a thrilling, entertaining match.
