The UCD fencing club produced a strong performance in Cork on November 6th.

UCD brought down unprecedented amounts of novice fencers, all of whom fenced very well. Robin Coleman won Best Beginner with an outstanding 5^th place finish, and Maria Matthews was a close second for female best beginner.

2^nd year fencer Ronan Quinn also put in a gutsy performance, finishing in 3^rd place despite being seriously hampered by injuries. The future is bright for UCD if the success of this new generation of fencers continues.
