Seven second half goals saw Pembroke move back to within three points of top spot at Serpentine Avenue as they blew away a UCD side who initially threatened an upset.
It was the second time he found the net, his first chalked off for batting in from over his shoulder height whilst on his knees.
But Pembroke stepped up through the gears in the second period with former UCD man Mick O’Connor finishing off a right-wing move created by Paddy Conlon and Karl Lynch.

He added another to stretch the lead to 4-1 before Conor Motyer scored a wonder-goal, getting the ball just outside halfway, powered into the D and reversed past the Pembroke keeper’s left shoulder.
It was brief respite though, as Adam Pritchard clocked up two drag-flicks, Kirk Shimmins scored his first division one goal while Scott Furlong and Tim Lewis were also on the mark.
