The 2011 Olympic Handball Intervarsity tournament was held on Saturday 26th of March in Gormanston College, during the IOHA (NGB) organised Festival of Handball.

The participating teams were IT Blanchardstown, UCC 1, UCC 2 and UCD. 

Despite the fact that the UCD team was missing three international players from its squad, it performed well in the group stages and advanced to the final to face UCC 1.

With only a 10 minute break between the last group stage match and the final, the UCD players had to dig deep to secure the victory against UCC 1, in what was a great fight. The final score was: UCD 23 - 17 UCC 1.
