In June 2010 NCBI -Working for People with Sight Loss in association with Paddy Power bookmaker and the Football Association of Ireland (FAI) teamed up to host the Ireland's first ever Blind Football Tournament.

This summer, NCBI -Working for People with Sight Loss hope to build on the enormous success of last year's tournment by having even more people take to the pitch to try out B1 football for themselves. The tournament will be played on Saturday 18th June in UCD’s Sports  Centre, with approximately 16 teams of five players going head to head in a series of 10-minute matches. There will be great prizes including trophies and medal for the winners and runners up along with Paddy Power Vouchers for the winning team.

The Rules of Blind Football

  • Teams consist of 5 players
  • All 4 outfield players must be blind folded
