Following last Sundays visit from Scottish team, St. Johnstone, UCD take on Spanish Giants Villarreal at the UCD Bowl.

Last Sunday, UCD AFC took on St Johnstone with a side composed of regular first team members and players looking to make their breakthrough into UCD's elite ranks. It was a useful run out for Martin Russell's men as the strength in depth of the squad was tested from the off.

UCD AFC will now welcome Villarreal to the UCD Bowl on Saturday 16th July 2011. The Yellow Submarine will take on the Students as part of their pre season preparations from the 2011/12 Primera Liga season.

The game comes 24 hours after UCD make the trip to Oriel Park to take on Dundalk in the Airtricity League Premier Division clash.

Coach Martin Russell commented; "It is a wonderful opportunity for our players to go and play against top class opposition. We will use it as an opportunity to show what we can do and hopefully we will attract some new fans that have never seen us play but enjoy our style of football, just because it is Villarreal we will not change the way we encourage our players to play."

To celebrate this great game the usual Student price of €10 will now apply to adults and Students and Children will gain entry to this fascinating clash for €5.

As an extra incentive for Spanish natives living in Dublin, supporters who present a Spanish Passport will be able to avail of a €5 ticket regardless of their age or student status!

Tickets for the game will be on sale at the ground on the day of the match.
