The 5 Step Fitness Plan

At UCD Fitness & Sport we want you to set attainable goals and reach them hence we have designed this comprehensive 5 Step Fitness plan designed to ensure that you reach your goal no matter how big or small it may be!

Step 1- Take Control (Within week 1)

Your first appointment is your introduction to our fitness team. Upon completion of our general health questionnaire you will receive a 30 minute assessment, which entails the recording of your body weight, body measurements and body fat. This will give us a platform to monitor your progress to assure that you achieve your desired goals.

Step 2 – Your Fitness Plan (Within week 1)

The duration of this appointment is also 30 minutes. Having considered your goals from step 1 your trainer will introduce you to your personalised training programme. You will be introduced to the various pieces of equipment required where each exercise will be explained and demonstrated in detail to your satisfaction.

Step 3 – The Workout – (Within first 10 days)

During this session you will complete your personal training regime in real time. Having the assistance of your trainer will allow you to complete your programme to maximum effect and familiarise yourself further with the equipment. You will also receive nutritional advice to complement your routine and again maximise your results.

Step 4 – Programme Review (after 10 sessions)

The programme review will take place after your 10th session. This review gives the opportunity for us to assess your progression and consider your feedback on the suitability of your programme. During this session the intensity of your programme will be adjusted accordingly in line with your fitness needs to see you through until your next review.

Step 5 – Revised Personal Programme

After 20 sessions we will redesign and update your personal fitness programme in order for you to continue to work towards your goal. You will also be reassessed as outlined in step 1 which will clearly identify how you are progressing. The cycle then starts all over again.
