The Sports Law Unit

A&L Goodbody’s Sports Law Unit was established in 1999 to co-ordinate the firm's activities and expertise in the area of sports law. Members of the Unit come from a range of different disciplines within the Firm including employment, litigation and dispute resolution, intellectual and commercial property, company, commercial and competition law. With this breath of knowledge combined with unrivalled experience of the Irish sports market, the Unit provides coordinated and specialised legal advice to sports associations, governing commercial bodies, and professionals on issues across a range of sports including soccer, rugby, horse racing, golf, GAA and motor sports.  Click here for more details.

The Centre for Sport Studies

The Centre for Sports Studies, established in UCD in 1999, serves as a focus for innovative academic activity in the increasingly important area of Sports Studies through research, consultancy and the provision of multidisciplinary teaching. The Centre has a staff of five, employs the expertise of over 30 guest lecturers and has approximately 200 full-time and part-time students, including elite athletes, enrolled on it’s undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.  Click here for more details.

The Centre for Continuing Professional Education (CPE) offers professional development education which is focused on satisfying the learning needs of professionals in industry and business.
