Thesis Submission - Graduate Students



You must complete the registration process and pay the programme fees for all years including the semester/year in which you are submitting your thesis.  You can only submit your thesis when you are fully-registered and all outstanding fees and charges have been paid.

Minor Thesis (Graduate Taught students)
Submission Date: Last working day in the term for which you are registered.
Check the term dates here.
Exceptions: Module or Programme Co-ordinators may, where appropriate, set deadlines for submission of Minor Theses prior to these dates.

Major Thesis (Graduate Research students) - PhD / Masters by Research
Submission Dates 2016/17: 13 January 2017
12 May 2017
8 September 2017
Submission Dates 2017/18: 12 January 2018
11 May 2018
7 September 2018
Extensions & Fees: If you do not submit your thesis by the deadline, and you need to extend registration into the next academic session, the following fee implications will apply:

Submission in Semester 1 - 1/3 of full year’s fee payable.
Submission in Semester 2 - 2/3 of full year’s fee payable.
Submission in Semester 3 - full year’s fee payable.

* Please note that registering for a new academic session results in a full year’s fee appearing on your fee account prior to submission of the thesis. A thesis cannot be submitted unless all relevant fees and charges have been paid. Fee charges will adjust to reflect your registration, as appropriate.
