Kind regards, Michael Sinnott Director of Administrative Services UCD Registry COMPLETE YOUR REGISTRATION What you need to know Your registration is your responsibility. It is very important that you get it right to ensure that you have access to your modules in Blackboard and that your timetable is correct. Online registration for undergraduate students will close at 5.00pm on Friday, 19 September so please make sure you have completed your registration by that date. Otherwise you may incur a registration re-activation fine of €250. Make sure you register to enough credits and drop any extra modules you are not planning on taking. The ‘Free Fees’ scheme will only cover you for the standard amount of credits (for the majority of students this is 60 credits per stage). Click here for more details. If you have repeats/resits, make sure you register to them online. After 19 September, any changes to Semester 1 modules will need to be made by your Programme Office. If you drop a Semester 1 module on or after 17 October you will have to pay fees for that module. You will have an opportunity in January 2015 to change your mind about your Semester 2 modules. To view your fees balance, visit SISWeb, enter your UCD student number and password and click on the Registration, Fees and Assessment tab. You can check on your grant application using the SUSI online tracker. In the meantime you should pay at least one third of the amount you can see on the fees page in SISWeb. Useful links SUSI website Student Finance website How much you need to pay Fee payment deadlines GET YOUR UCARD What you need to know If you are a new student and haven't got a UCARD yet, you can get it from the UCARD Central Hub until 12 September. Remember to upload your photo online before you go to collect your card. After 12 September, please collect your card from the UCARD Bureau, located just behind Readers’s Café in the Library building. If you are a continuing student, once you have registered and paid the appropriate fee, your student card will be reactivated for 2014/15. Remember to keep your UCARD with you at all times as you will need it for identification purposes, for access to UCD services and to sit your exams. To do this, log into SISWeb using your UCD student number and password. Click on the Registration, Fees & Assessment tab and select UView in the menu list. UView allows you to check information such as your Programme history, contact information, module registration, GPA and grades.
