Kind regards, Michael Sinnott Director of Administrative Services UCD Registry COMPLETE YOUR REGISTRATION What you need to know Your registration is your responsibility. It is very important that you get it right to ensure that you have access to your modules in Blackboard and that your timetable is correct. Online registration for undergraduate students will close at 5.00pm on Friday, 18 September so please make sure you have completed your registration by that date. Otherwise you may incur a registration re-activation fine of €250. Make sure you register to enough credits and drop any extra modules you are not planning on taking. The ‘Free Fees’ scheme will only cover you for the standard amount of credits (for the majority of students this is 60 credits per stage). If you have repeats/resits, make sure you register to them online. After 18 September, any changes to Semester 1 modules will need to be made by your Programme Office. If you drop a Semester 1 module on or after 16 October you will have to pay fees for that module. You will have an opportunity in January 2016 to change your mind about your Semester 2 modules. Click for key dates and information on how much you need to pay. Online payments can be made through your SISWeb account. To view your fees balance, visit SISWeb, enter your UCD student number and password and click on the Registration, Fees and Assessment tab. You can check on your grant application using the SUSI online tracker. In the meantime you should pay at least one third of the amount you can see on the fees page in SISWeb. Useful links SUSI website Student Finance website How much you need to pay Fee payment deadlines GET YOUR UCARD What you need to know If you are a new student and haven't got a UCARD yet, you can get it from the UCARD Central Hub until 11 September. Remember to upload your photo online before you go to collect your card. After 11 September, please collect your card from the UCARD Bureau, located in the Newman Building, Arts JK Area (Outside Theatre L). If you are a continuing student, once you have confirmed registration, your student card will be valid for 2015/16. Remember to keep your UCARD with you at all times as you will need it for identification purposes, for access to UCD services and to sit your exams. To do this, log into SISWeb using your UCD student number and password. Click on the Registration, Fees & Assessment tab and select UView in the menu list. UView allows you to check information such as your Programme history, contact information, module registration, GPA and grades. Communications will also be sent to the personal email account for all students who have provided a non-UCD Connect account. What you need to do Go to the ‘My Profile’ tab in SISWeb and check that your personal details are up to date. If you don’t want UCD to use your personal email address, you can tell us using the ‘My Profile’ tab. Please note Your UCD Connect email address remains the main point of contact for all communications.
