REMINDER ABOUT RETURNING FROM A LEAVE OF ABSENCE – SEPTEMBER 2016
Dear Student,

The main registration season for 2016/17 starts soon. If you are returning to UCD this September, you will find some important information below on the following:
  • Online registration
  • Paying your fees
  • UCD Student Card (UCARD)
  • Campus Car Parking
  • Staying connected
Please make sure that you check your UCD Connect email regularly throughout the academic year so that you don't miss out on important updates from the University.

If you decide not to return and would like to either extend your leave of absence or withdraw from the University please speak with your Graduate School/Programme Office as soon as possible. There is more information and advice about leave of absence on the web.

ONLINE REGISTRATION 2016/17
What you need to know
When online registration opens for you, log into SISWeb to confirm your registration for 2016/17.

Undergraduate* and Graduate Taught students - check your UCD Connect email for confirmation of your Start Time for module registration. Your Start Time is open-ended so you can begin your registration any time from the date/time confirmed in the email.

*If you missed your chance to book your Start Time, don't worry. One will be allocated to you and confirmation sent to your UCD email.

Online registration for Graduate Research students opens on 16 August 2016.

PAYING YOUR FEES
What you need to know
Check the website for the fee payment dates and what you need to pay for 2016/17.

If you have any fees outstanding, it may affect your ability to register for 2016/17 or graduate if completing your studies. There is more information about this on the website.

Online payments can be made through your SISWeb account. Other payment options are also available.

To complete your online grant application or track its progress, visit the SUSI website.

STUDENT CARD (UCARD)
What you need to know
Your UCARD is your official identification card for the duration of your programme in UCD so please make sure you look after it over the summer.

Once you have confirmed your registration for 2016/17, your UCARD will remain active.

What you need to know
Parking charges will apply 8:00am to 5.00pm, Monday – Friday (excluding bank holidays) during the peak demand periods of Semester 1 (12 Sept. – 2 Dec. 2016) and Semester 2 (23 Jan. – 28 Apr. 2017).

All car parks are designated either permit parking or hourly paid parking. If you wish to apply for a UCD Parking Permit at a cost of €50 for the academic year 2016/17, please go to http://www.ucd.ie/commuting and click on Parking in UCD. Then choose Parking Permit – Apply and follow the steps.
