IMPORTANT FEES INFORMATION – RESULTS HOLD
Student Number ::PRIMARY_ID

Dear :FORENAME,

Our records show an outstanding balance on your UCD student fee account. As you still owe fees, there is currently a hold on your record which will prevent you from accessing your provisional exam results on Friday, 9 June 2017 and may also prevent access to your final results on Thursday, 29 June 2017.

What you need to do
  • Read the information on non-payment of fees.
  • Check your SISWeb account to see what fees you owe.
  • You can pay online in SISWeb using a credit/debit card - online payments clear straight away. There are also other payment options available.
  • Note, the hold on your account will not lift straight away, this is an overnight process so please allow for this when making payment.
For more information, visit the Fee Payments website.

If you have recently paid your outstanding fees, thank you and please disregard this email.

Please note:
For more information on what you can do to remove the hold on your account, please read the information below. It is of particular importance if you intend to do any of the following:
  • continue to the next stage of your programme
  • complete your degree this summer
  • progress to postgraduate programme at UCD

Clearing your debt
Even if your debt is small you should clear it over the summer - ideally before registration begins in mid-August - so that you can start with a clean sheet in September.

Carrying debt forward
You can, however, carry up to €600 forward to the 2017/18 academic year – this may help you in managing your finances at the start of the new academic year. Make sure that you are aware of the following:
  • If you owe any money you will not be able to see your provisional results between 9 June and 12 June 2017.
  • If you owe more than €600 by 29 June, you will not have access to final results.
  • If you reduce your debt to less than €600 at any point after 29 June, you will get access to your results the following day.
Please note:
Online payments will show on your account straight away, where bank giro and EFT payments can take 3-5 working days before they show on your account.
You can carry a maximum debt of €600 and still register for 2017/18.

If your debt is still over €600 by the start of the 2017/18 academic session, you will not be able to select a start time or begin registration at the same time as your fellow students. Registration dates for 2017/18 are available on our website.

Any carried-forward debt will be added to your 2017/18 charges and will be part of your minimum payment due at the start of 2017/18.
COMPLETING YOUR DEGREE THIS SUMMER
If you have completed your programme and have outstanding fees you will not have access to your results or transcripts until your outstanding balance has been paid in full, nor will you be eligible to be awarded with your degree. The Conferring Unit requires all outstanding fees to be paid in full two weeks before the Conferring date. For more information on your conferring date, please visit the Conferring website.
PROGRESSING TO A POSTGRADUATE PROGRAMME AT UCD
If you have applied for a postgraduate programme you must pay off all fees and charges immediately. If you owe fees you will not be allowed access your results or transcripts and you will not be able to graduate. Also, you will not be able to register to your postgraduate programme at UCD.

Your deposit payment for your postgraduate programme is taken as payment for 2017/18 only and all fees for your current programme must be cleared.

Please note that the University reserves the right to engage the services of a third party in pursuit of outstanding fees for students who have left the University.
