Mumps Alert

Several cases of Mumps have been reported. Students under 25 are advised to check that they have had 2 MMR vaccines (measles, mumps and rubella). If not the vaccine is available at the UCD Student Health Service. For more information click here.

Student Support Fund - Financial Assistance

The Student Support Fund 2014-15 is now open for applications through SIS. The Fund is means-tested and is intended to financially aid students from lower income households. It is open to full-time students only. for more information click here.

Universitas 21 Network 'Critical Thinking in Global Challenges' - A New Online Course

UCD undergraduate students are invited to enrol in this course to develop their critical thinking skills. The course is delivered by University of Edinburgh and requires 1-2 hours study per week (5 weeks, starts 3 Nov). Successful completion by UCD students will be reflected on students' Diploma Supplement. Enroll here using your UCD email address.

Stress Control Course

A practical course for the common problem of stress delivered by Clinical Psychologists Dr Mark Harrold and Dr Alison Rooney. Starts Monday, 3 Nov for 6 Mondays, 7.30 - 9.30pm, theatre L, Newman building. There is no charge for the course but notes and CD cost €20. To register click here.

OSI MapGenie now available - View, Print, Create Maps AND Bring Your Data to Life!

Ordnance Survey Ireland MapGenie is a free online service provided by subscription via UCD Library. It gives immediate access to a wide range of OSi mapping series of Ireland, from historical maps to recent colour orthophotography & large scale maps. UCD Comedy Festival: UCD Ents present a 3 day comedy festival including top comedians Des Bishop, Karl Spain, Bernard O'Shea and Al Porter on the 4, 5, & 6 November. Ents Secret Show: The secret is out! Acclaimed Irish band Little Green Cars will play an intimate free show on Wednesday, 29 October in the Astra Hall. Tickets are limited and are available exclusively through the UCD Ents App.
