Can I pay for my visit to the Health Centre when I am in the Health Centre?

No!

You can pay electronically online by laser or credit card by accessing your Student Health Account on SIS. See Paying Electronically or Paying in Cash for more information.    

I think I am eligible for a Medical/GP Visit Card but I don’t know how to get one?  

Students can check their entitlements under the State’s Medical Card System.  Refer to the UCD Handbook for further details or contact the UCD Students’ Union or visit www.hse.ie

What if I attend the nurse in triage clinic and the nurse refers me to the doctor on the same day do I have to pay for both?

Yes, however, the total charge for attending both on the same day is €25.   €10 for your consultation with the nurse and then €15 for being referred to the doctor from the nurse on the same day.

Do I have to pay to attend Student Counselling?

Services operated by UCD Student Counselling will remain free of charge.

Do I have to pay my health centre charge all in one go?

No!

I am unable to pay my health centre charge, what do I do?

It is UCD’s intent that no student will be deprived of health services due to financial difficulties. The Student Welfare Fund is one source of funding that can be accessed in case of financial difficulty. This can be instigated after the medical appointment. I think I have been charged incorrectly, what do I do?
