The programme content is highly flexible and can be tailored to meet the needs of academics in different disciplines and at different stages of their academic careers.
The programme is delivered through a variety of modes and all modules have a face-to-face teaching component, extensive resources and self-directed learning tasks.
The 7.5 credit module “Becoming a Better University Teaching” will be taught in ‘block’ format over 4-5 days from September 2012 onwards. From this point onwards the BBUT module will be a core mandatory module.
Schools and subject areas can design their own continuing professional development modules and have them validated for credit.
UCD Teaching and Learning provides a friendly and supportive environment for academics who wish to engage in inquiry into their own teaching and continually improve their practice.
Encouraging critical engagement with the literature on teaching and learning including, where appropriate, supporting the writing of journal articles.
