DRHEA Teaching Fellowships 02.03.12

A new and exciting teaching and learning initiative has just been announced: the Dublin Regional Higher Education Alliance (DRHEA) Teaching Fellowships. The Dublin Regional Higher Education Alliance was established under the HEA Strategic Innovation Fund (SIF2) to promote collaboration in the enhancement of education in the Dublin Region. The member institutions are: DCU, DIT, IADT, ITT Dublin, ITB, NUIM, TCD and UCD.

The DRHEA Fellowships which will focus specifically on the enhancement of undergraduate learning are open to all full-time members of academic staff who are actively engaged in undergraduate teaching and development and who are interested in participating in a strategic group project within the Dublin Region. Successful Fellows will receive a bursary of 5,000 euro to support their participation, and Fellows will be selected competitively based on a short application form and a supporting nomination statement.  Up to five Fellowships will be awarded and not more than one Fellowship will be awarded per institution.  This is an exciting opportunity to gain recognition for your teaching and learning expertise and to explore your ideas for enhancing undergraduate student learning through working with Fellows from other institutions within the Dublin Region.

The DRHEA Fellowships will address a strategic theme: Enhancing First Year Learning. For further details on the Fellowships, the strategic theme and the applications process please visit: www.drhea.ie  The closing date for completed applications is 5pm Friday 23rd March 2012.
