Award for Supporting Student Learning Ceremony 2011-12 01.02.12

The ceremony for the Award for Supporting Student Learning took place on January 31st. This award acknowledges the efforts and achievements of staff who are responsible for innovative approaches to supporting student learning and /or the provision of an effective and positive learning environment in UCD, but who do not have a direct teaching role. The adjudication panel selected 5 award winning innovations in total comprising two individual awards and three group awards.  

The President, Dr Hugh Brady, who presented the awards, praised the vital work undertaken by the award winners and emphasised the importance of their innovations in enhancing the student learning experience. Dr Brady also highlighted the important role of the ASSL awards in demonstrating ‘how we can continue to make the UCD teaching and learning experience the best it can be nationally and internationally’.
