U21 Fellowship awarded to Dr Geraldine O’ Neill, UCD Teaching and Learning 27.04.12

Dr Geraldine O’ Neill, UCD Teaching and Learning has recently been awarded a U21 Teaching and Learning Network Staff Fellowship. The U21 Teaching and Learning Network, a cross-network partnership for members of Universitas 21, recently established this Fellowship Programme to encourage sharing of and research into best practice in teaching and learning.
This U21 Fellowship will allow Geraldine an opportunity to visit another U21 institution, in this instance the University of Nottingham. As part of this visit, she will build on existing research into UCD’s strategic Assessment Redesign Project by further investigation of assessment practices in a similar institutional project in the University of Nottingham. This collaboration will also provide opportunities for both institutions to engage in the sharing of practices and to debate the evidence of this pedagogical approach to strategic curriculum change. The outcome of this work will be disseminated within UCD and to the wider U21 community.
