DRHEA Teaching Fellows Symposium 22.11.12

The DRHEA (Dublin Regional Higher Education Alliance) Teaching Fellows Symposium will take place on Friday 30th November, in the Health Sciences building at UCD, between 11.00 – 16.00.  The event will showcase the outcomes of the DRHEA Teaching Fellow’s research across the Dublin Region on “What makes the Best First Year Experience”. 

The keynote: “Students as Co-creators of Curricula” will be provided Dr Cathy Bovill (University of Glasgow and author of the QAA Enhancement Theme publication on Programme Design for the First Year). The UCD Fellows in Teaching & Academic Development will report on their research into factors influencing staff choice of assessment methods in the First Year. 

The DRHEA Teaching Fellows programme is being co-ordinated by Elizabeth Noonan (UCD Teaching & Learning) - there are five Fellows: Dr Tara Cusack (UCD) Michael Carr (DIT) Dr Yseult Freeney (DCU) Dr Mary Gilmartin (NUIM) and Rebecca Roper (IADT).
