UCD Teaching and Learning is delighted to launch its new website www.ucd.ie/teaching.
The site aims to support lecturers in their teaching and academic development by providing up to date, evidence-based information-rich resources, reflecting best practice nationally and internationally. There are approximately sixty downloadable/printable resources in the resources section at the moment – soon to be expanded with the addition of the E-learning and Innovative Teaching sections.
As well as providing a comprehensive source of teaching resources, the website will regularly showcase developments and teaching innovation across the university.
The academic development section provides information on the range of courses available through UCD Teaching & Learning to support the development of academic practice for staff members whether at beginning their careers, or experienced academics with an interested in exploring new approaches to teaching and learning.
Keep an eye on the news section for regular updates and the calendar for details of upcoming events.
This project was sponsored by the Registrar Dr Philip Nolan, it has been funded by the Strategic Innovation Fund II, under the Enhancement of Learning Strand and is one of a number of initiatives developed by Teaching and Learning to support and enhance teaching, learning innovation and academic development in line with UCD’s strategic objectives to 2014.
We hope it proves to be a valuable resource for your teaching and look forward to your feedback.
