Adjudication of the third round of UCD College Teaching Awards took place recently. The awards recognise and reward excellence in teaching and learning and are a key part of the university’s award and recognition initiatives for excellence in teaching which also include: President’s Teaching Award and Fellowships in Teaching & Academic Development. This year’s College Teaching Awards drew a highly competitive field of applicants from across the 5 colleges of the university and the adjudication panel of the College Vice-Principals for Teaching & Learning and two externs Dr Brian Bowe (DIT) and Dr Ciara O Farrell (TCD) commended the overall quality of the applications. With one Teaching Award available for each College to the value of 1,000 euro, the following awards were made:
