What is the quiz tool?
Blackboard's quiz tool provides a series of online quizzes that may be used for diagnostic, formative and summative development.What does it do?
The quiz tool enables the academic to access a variety of question types to use with the learner, multi-choice, true-false, graphical hotspots, mini-essays etc.The ability to provide flexible access to the questions enables the learners to revisit the question banks time and time again, often facing different examples each time.
Feedback can be provided during the quiz questions supporting and enabling learners to seek out further information and resources as required.

How do I use it in my teaching?
As a diagnostic tool to assess learners prior knowledge re: core content.As a formative tool to reinforce learning undertaken through readings, seminars, labs etc.
As a means to provide feed-forward in advance of summative assignments.
