It is essential that you collect your card as soon as you have registered, paid your fees, and arrive on campus as you will need it for payments, access to facilities such as Library, Residences, UCD Sports & Fitness and as identification.
In order to do this you must upload your photograph. This will be the photo that will appear on your Student UCARD and ideally should be uploaded when you are completing online registration or at least within 5 days in order to ensure your card is available on time and avoid delays when trying to collect your UCARD.
Your UCD Student UCARD is your official identification card for the duration of your programme in UCD.
If you're a returning UCD student, you will not have to queue for a new card in September. The Student UCARD you got last year is designed to last you for the duration of your programme in UCD.
To keep your card valid for 2012/13 all you need to do is register online when registration opens up for you and pay the minimum amount of fees you are required to pay for 2012/13. If you do not pay in time your card will be invalid and you will not, for example, be able to get into the Library.
Only new students or students changing programme (e.g. going from a Bachelor degree to a Masters) will be issued with a new UCARD.
