UCD Awards Day

"The annual Awards ceremony is an especially memorable occasion that acknowledges the scholarships and prizes won by students on the results of their work during the previous session," the President, Dr Cosgrove, said at this year’s ceremony in March. "The ceremony involves all Faculties, and all years from Entrance Scholarships through to Postgraduate Scholarships. It is therefore representative of the wide range of our disciplines in UCD, as well as being a demonstration of our excellence."

Dr Cosgrove acknowledged that to complete the courses, pass the examinations, gain the degree, commitment and hard work are necessary at every stage. "It is an outstanding achievement to reach the top few places in the class. We congratulate you. And we wish you further success in the years ahead."

The President also congratulated the people who supported the award winners along the way – parents and friends – and he paid tribute to the commitment of the College’s academic staff.
