A lecture entitled Beyond
Managerialism: Evaluation as
Conflict Transformation in a
Transitional Justice Setting
was given in the Legal
Education Centre in the
Faculty of Law in November.
It was presented by
Professor Kieran McEvoy,

University Belfast. The event

DEREK MOONEY
We have learned with deep
sorrow of the death of Derek
Mooney, who was in his third
year of the BA Modular
programme, studying English and
History. Derek died while on
active duty with the Irish Defence
Forces in Liberia on 27
November. To his family, his
friends, and his student
colleagues, we extend our
deepest sympathy.
VALERIE MCKERNAN
We have learned with sadness of
the death of Valerie McKernan,
who died on 11 November.
Valerie was a staff member in the
Main Library. To her family and
friends we extend our heartfelt
condolences.
