Mergers Control seminar in Law Faculty

A seminar on Recent Issues in Merger Control was conducted in the Faculty of Law by Patrick Massey, director, CompEcon, Competition and Mergers Analysis Consultancy, for the LLM in European Law Merger Control Class.

Patrick Massey was a long serving member of the Irish Competition Authority. He is pictured here (centre) with Dermot Cahill of the Law Faculty and Judge Peter Heerey, Federal Court of Australia, Melbourne, who recently spent a sabbatical semester in the Law Facuty. Judge Heerey team-taught several seminars alongside Dermot Cahill, who is the course leader.

During the seminar, each of the LLM students made a brief presentation on various Merger Law issues, to which Mr Massey responded as part of his seminar presentation.
