Marketing Advice for UCD colleagues
The University Relations Office offers strategic marketing advice and support to local units. This ensures local activities are aligned with the university’s overall communications strategy and provides an opportunity to share best practice across the university.
The office works with local units to identify communications objectives and the best channels to achieve these ends. This could range from advertising to online campaigns, events or printed materials.
The office can provide advice on identifying, briefing and managing suppliers and evaluating responses to marketing and communications proposals.
Local units are responsible for the production of their own print materials and publications. The University Relations Office can offer editorial support on priority projects and this is strongly advised for items with potential audience of over 500.
All university advertising (except for HR recruitment advertising, and advertising for the UCD College of Business & Law) must be routed via the University Relations Office.
Colleagues should route any advertising sales queries to the office at firstname.lastname@example.org
All staff advertising (i.e. to recruit UCD staff members and postdoctoral scholars) must be placed via UCD HR.
UCD does not generally conduct international advertising, though the university is active in many overseas markets in line with the university’s strategic plan. For advice on international marketing, please contact the UCD International Office.
The office also stocks a modest range of corporate gifts. Please contact email@example.com for details on items available.
