The UCD School of Veterinary Medicine Alumni Mentoring Programme is looking for Mentors to work with new Veterinary Medicine and Veterinary Nursing graduates. The programme commenced in Summer 2016, and after two successful years, is running again in 2018/2019. The programme runs for 1 year, with contact (Skype, FaceTime, emails) once a week for the first 6 months and once a month after that. Mentors and mentees are also asked to have at least one face-to-face meeting.
Mentors are invited to a Training & Information session on Wednesday 28 March from 6pm to 7.30pm in the Veterinary Sciences Centre, UCD. This session will include information on the Programme and what mentoring entails, and will also include a presentation from Dr Aoibhinn McDonnell. A UCD graduate, Aoibhinn has a strong interest in mentoring and working with younger colleagues and in sharing her journey from Veterinary Medicine to Human
Health, and also her own experience of the multiple uses of a Veterinary Medicine
qualification. Read more here: http://www.ucd.ie/vetmed/about/alumni/
Training resources and presentations from the above session will be made available online to all mentors prior to programme commencement.
