Our graduate studies programmes allow students to immerse themselves in a subject that they love and will help them to hone their knowledge of their chosen subject area while allowing them to develop new skills and new knowledge. It is a tremendously rewarding experience and one which will enrich their lives and enhance their career prospects.
Taught degrees provide the student with a highly structured learning environment in which to study their chosen subject, whereas research degrees give students the opportunity to conduct their own research under the close supervision of their supervisor.
The UCD School of Veterinary Medicine offers a professional doctorate programme, the Doctorate of Veterinary Medical Specialisation, paralleling the requirements of a variety of residency programmes approved in UCD by the European Board of Veterinary Specialisation. The professional doctorate programme is one of advanced education and training, incorporating taught elements, supervised professional practice and supervised research.
We also provide a number of taught graduate programmes at graduate certificate level. These courses are delivered by distance learning to facilitate access, continuing professional education and life-long learning.
