University Veterinary Hospital Conference
Our 5th annual University Veterinary Conference was a huge success with 350 Veterinary Practitioners and 70 Veterinary Nurses in attendance. The conference focused on five key themes: Farm Animal, Equine, Small Animal Medicine, Small Animal Surgery and Veterinary Nursing. Between the lectures held in the Veterinary Sciences Centre and the commercial exhibitions along with coffee breaks and lunch in O’Reilly Hall, not to mention Donal Connolly’s rapid-fire presentations on the new Veterinary Assistance Programme, all were kept super-busy for the day. The feedback received indicated a high-level of satisfaction with the facilities, educational content, and exhibition. Parking, though, was an issue, between the on-going construction work on campus and the re-development of some of the car parks – we hope to address this for next year. Next year’s conference will be held on Friday, 19th August 2011 in Belfield.
