Sourav Bhattacharjee, Assistant Professor in the section of Veterinary Biosciences, has been  nominated for the UNESCO endorsed USERN Prize for this year which recognizes the top 1% of the scientists <40 years of age throughout the spectrum of global research for making significant contributions in their own fields. The advisory board consists of many Nobel laureates and Abel Prize winners (https://usern.tums.ac.ir/Info/Board). Every year one award is made for each of the following categories: social science, medical science, physical science, biological science & formal science; while the final winners are felicitated in an award-giving festival annually on the 10th November which is the - UNESCO World Science Day for Peace and Development. This year the award-giving festival will be held in Budapest (Hungary). Sourav's current research endeavors include applications of nanomedicine & biophotonics for diagnostics, imaging & therapeutics in clinically relevant scenarios, such as cancer.

PhD opportunity

A 4-year PhD position is available within Professor McCann’s group in the UCD Conway Institute of Biomolecular and Biomedical Science UCD, in the area of Comparative Oncology, a core aspect of One Health.

 New RFP for research projects

The ASPCA is announcing a new RFP for research projects which would likely result in publications providing evidence to encourage and support accessible and affordable veterinary care. 
Details about applicant and project eligibility requirements for this new Access to Basic Veterinary Care (ABVC) Program Research Grant are outlined on ASPCAPro here, along with the fillable Letter of Intent (LOI) form and submission information.
