The UCDVH Small Animal Medicine Service provides for the investigation and treatment of dogs and cats with a known or suspected medical illness. We use the most up-to-date technologies and equipment and are supported by a range of complementary specialist services such as Diagnostic Imaging, Anaesthesia and dedicated Clinical Laboratories. Our aim is to provide the best standard of care for our patients, an exemplary experience for their owners, and a dependable service for our referring veterinarians.

  • We offer a free telephone and e-mail advice service for veterinary surgeons, irrespective of referral or not
  • Each patient is discharged with written instructions, helping the owner to understand the investigations carried out and the treatments recommended
  • Referring veterinarians are contacted with relevant information within 24 hours of the animal being discharged
