Aims and Objectives
The goal of UCD Women at STEM (Women@Stem) is to encourage and support women scientists to engage equally at all levels from undergraduate onwards in scientific and academic life in UCD.
Mission Statement:

To work towards a society where women have equal opportunities and recognition within STEM.

To advocate for equality, diversity and inclusion in STEM.

To identify and recognise structural inequities and biases.

To support women to fully participate in and become leaders in STEM.

To generate a network open to students, staff, faculty to drive diversity in STEM.
To achieve our mission we will:

Host events to provide networking opportunities to share experiences and lessons learned in STEM career development.

Connect with other global groups that are working towards our goals.

Support the professional development of members through high-quality events and workshops.
- Encourage mentoring and provide excellent networking opportunities.
- Provide information through our website, social media and newsletter.
- Challenging members to continue to further the drive for equality, diversity and inclusion within their units and more widely across the STEM sector.
