The Aisling Project & Working with Chinese Orphans
A talk by Sally Keaveney.
Sally Keaveney is the Managing Director of International Orphan Aid
Ireland. Set up in 1996, its primary concern is the welfare of orphaned and
abandoned children throughout the world.

China - The Land of Beauty
An exhibition of Photographs of Chinese Scenery
at the
Central Library, ILAC Centre, Dublin 1.
Opening Ceremony at 1pm on Monday 1st October.

Bridging the Gap: China and the West ,
Learning to understand each other.
A talk by Fr. Thomas Murphy
Fr. Murphy of the Columban Fathers, has a special interest in Third
Level education in China. He speaks Chinese and has
travelled to China many times.
Wednesday November 14th
A Beginner's Evening of Chinese Traditional Music and Song
A talk, with musical illustrations, by David Judge, ICCS Vice-President.
David hopes you will enjoy the pieces, and may recognise some of them, or
at least the instruments involved, the next time you
hear music in a Chinese restaurant. Fans of hard-core Peking Opera, however,
face disappointment.
Wednesday December 12th
Chinese Quiz and Social
Our annual test of knowledge on matters Chinese.
This is a table team test and a great social and fun event, topped off with our traditional
tea/coffee and mince pies.
