UCD Agricultural Science, Food Science and Human Nutrition Careers Day 2020 The annual careers day hosted by Ag Soc took place on Wednesday, 12th February 2020. This event is a staple in the calendar of the society and was attended by 50 exhibitors including many of the food and agriculture industry leaders, who wish to recruit prospective graduates from the school. Guest Speaker was Richard Kennedy, CEO Devenish; EY Entrepreneur of the Year 2019 and graduate from the UCD School of Agriculture and Food Science. |

Genomic Selection in Plant Breeding - A hands-on short course in R: This course aimed to provide a basic quantitative and statistical framework to apply GS in a routine manner. In this sense, the course focused on the application of plant breeding concepts through practical exercises in R. The course provided participants with the relevant theory of GS models, as well as with hands-on experience with relevant GS techniques. |
