The Recommendations
Through student experience mapping, this project highlights common themes and insights, and has made recommendations that have the potential to advance our goals of enhancing our students’ experience. UMT SEG and UMT have endorsed the following recommendations:
Project recommendations:
- UMT SEG will develop a project on the ‘shaping their living and learning’ theme to better enable students shape their UCD environment to their individual needs (project page)
- UMT SEG will develop a project to improve our ability to connect students to the information and supports they need when they look for it (project page)
- UMT SEG will develop a project to better support ‘trusted persons’ – making it easier to be a ‘trusted person’ and thereby improve our ability to connect students to the information and supports they need (project page)
- A project will be developed to analyse where variation in the learning experience is valuable and where inconsistencies must be avoided to ensure a minimum standard for our students’ experience of UCD
Practice recommendations:
- UMT SEG will use the structure and language of the student experience map as a way of framing its consideration of students’ experience
- Experience mapping will be promoted and used as a key tool
