How To Register
Step 1: Select your chosen test date, select Dublin and your chosen test module: Academic or General Training

Please have a photograph/scan of your ID document and your visa/debit card ready before applying.
Step 2: You will be asked to select a test date from a list.
Step 3: Read and accept the terms and conditions.
Step 4: Fill in your personal details. You will be asked to submit your passport or EU national ID card details, so you should have these ready.
(Please note national identity cards will only be accepted from EU member states)
Step 5: Upload a photo/scan of the photograph and/or signature pages of your passport. All of the information must be completely legible, i.e. your full name, date of birth, passport number, passport expiry date, nationality, etc.
- Format: jpeg, gif, png or pdf
- Dimensions: 1600 x 1600 pixels
- Size: 1.5mb
Step 6: Double-check and confirm your details. Your application form will be submitted at this point.
Step 7: Once you have submitted your application form you will have 3 days to complete your application. If payment is not received within 3 days, your application may be cancelled. If you apply for a test less than 14 days before the test, you will have to pay the same day.
The IELTS test fee is €200. At the end of your online application you will be directed to an online payment website where you can pay the IELTS test fee using a debit/credit card.
You must scan and upload a jpeg or pdf copy of the photograph page of a valid (i.e not expired) passport or EU national identity card. This ID document must be valid on your chosen test date. You will need to bring your passport with with you on test day.
Important: if you do not bring your passport (or EU national ID card) to all parts of your IELTS test you will not be permitted to sit your test and you will not be entitled to a refund.
Your passport/ID card must clearly show the following information:
a. your photograph and your signature
b. your full name
c. your date of birth
d. the ID document number
e. the ID expiry date
Please ensure that this information is clear and legible in the photo uploaded.
- Our online registration procedure entitles applicants to a free 30-hour online preparation course called Road to IELTS. Online applicants are able to check their results online for up to 40 days after they are released.
- Your speaking test may take place on or up to 7 days before or 2 days after the main test date. You must be available during this time. Please email us if you wish to have your speaking test on the same date as your written test: we will try to accommodate you, but we cannot guarantee this. We do not run speaking tests on Sundays.
