Refund and Transfer Policy

Due to the exceptional circumstances involving Covid19, we have implemented new policies for refunding and transferring IELTS test takers.

Refunds

In order to receive a refund, the following steps must be complete:

  • You have submitted an IELTS application through the online booking system.
  • You have fully paid for your IELTS application.
  • You have contacted the IELTS team through email at ielts@ucd.ie.
  • You have completed the online refund form.

Refunds will not be granted inside of 72 hours of the test date unless a medical certificate or proof of extraordinary circumstance is provided.

Due to the high-volume of refund requests during the Covid19 period, please allow up to 30 days for the money to appear in your account.

Transfers

In order to request a transfer, please contact the IELTS team through email at ielts@ucd.ie. Please state your current IELTS test date, and the date which you wish to be transferred to.

Transfers will not be granted inside of 72 hours of the test date unless a medical certificate or proof of extraordinary circumstance is provided.

In the event that a test-taker tests positive for Covid19, they will be automatically transferred to another exam date of their choice.

Information for language school students

If you currently attend a language school, or your language school has paid for or completed your application, please ignore all of the above steps. Please contact your language school to request a refund or transfer of your exam date.

If you have any questions, please contact the IELTS team through email at ielts@ucd.ie and supply your full name, exam date, and language school, as well as your question or query.
